Position Description:
The Multimedia Production Manager (Multimedia Manager) develops and executes multimedia and experiential marketing strategy, and is the key digital content generator and thought leader for all web and social media properties affiliated with the UCLA Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science (UCLA Samueli). In collaboration with the Executive Director of Communications (EDC), the Multimedia Manager will manage internal and external resources in connection with developing the school's brand-focused advertising and marketing campaigns and is expected to play a key role in the success of UCLA Samueli's strategic marketing communications plan.

Major Duties:

UCLA Samueli is embarking on a brand-focused strategic campaign to grow the school, with an emphasis on attracting top faculty and students from diverse backgrounds around the world and setting the standard for undergraduate and graduate engineering education in an equitable and inclusive manner. UCLA Samueli is looking for a visual storyteller with higher-education marketing, digital and experiential marketing, creative and editorial skill sets to elevate the school's brand among its many constituents.

In collaboration with EDC, the Multimedia Manager develops and executes strategy for digital communications across all UCLA Samueli-owned channels, ensuring the effectiveness of user-centric engagement applications in desktop and mobile environments.

The Multimedia Manager has primary responsibility for architecture definition, content curation and search-engine optimization of the UCLA Samueli websites, in alignment with organizational objectives. The Multimedia Manager serves as a key digital content generator and thought leader for the Communications team and will be expected to lead change management initiatives as needed for the school's marketing/branding, social media, website, and affiliated departmental, lab and institute sites.

The Multimedia Manager will oversee UCLA Samueli's web and social media engagement with the school's target audiences, ensuring a brand-centered appearance and user experience befitting a top engineering school. The Multimedia Manager will monitor other schools' activities in the digital arena to make sure UCLA Samueli maintains its positive brand with its many target audience groups. The position is also responsible for collection and reporting of monthly data analytics on website and social channels.

UCLA Engineering faculty are at the forefront of many exciting research areas, including robotics, cyber-physical systems, precision medicine, sustainable urban development, metamaterials and microelectronics. The Multimedia Manager must be comfortable communicating technology breakthrough stories to a general interest audience in a visually compelling way.

Working with EDC, the Multimedia Manager will research advertising and marketing venues ensuring competitive ROI. The position will be responsible for developing creatives, storyboards, marketing proposals that are brand-focused and effective with the school's many constituents following UCLA campus-wide guidelines.

The Multimedia Manager will assist with video production, digital presentations and photography for the school and faculty members as needed.
