Job Description:

The IQ Coordinator is a temporary (approximately 4 months/through June 1, 2022) and potentially renewable full-time position designed to support the College’s Residential Life Department with coordinating COVID-19 prevention, preparedness, and response for the entire residential community as well as other department priorities and tasks. Reporting to the Director of Residential Life, this live-in position will help to oversee and coordinate logistics and residential care for students in quarantine and isolation, as well as support wellness programming and compliance with COVID-19 throughout campus. This is an exempt position which necessitates a flexible work schedule and includes continuous on-call responsibilities specific to COVID-related circumstances. The number of COVID-affected cases on campus will dictate the degree of flexibility needed in working hours and days. It is expected that when/if cases are low, the Coordinator will maintain mostly regular campus office hours (9am-5pm M-F) while retaining on-call responsibilities and assisting Residential Life with other duties as needed and appropriate.

  • Support and implement COVID safety directives related to residential life and student health.
  • Collaborate with Residential Life and Health & Wellness staff to address quarantine, isolation and student care needs related to COVID prevention and management.
  • Oversee essential service logistics for any students in quarantine or isolation, including but not limited to food and mail delivery/ trash and laundry collection.
  • Serve on-call to coordinate student relocation to isolation or quarantine buildings as directed by Health & Wellness Center clinicians and communicate proactively with Dean of Studies to coordinate academic work and notification for these students.
  • Remain current on best practices related to COVID prevention and management in residential settings and serve as a resource to students to explain general processes, contact tracing, and COVID related information.
  • Build positive student relationships that contribute toward deepening the student experience.
  • Proactively help build a culture of safety, respect, engagement, and responsibility.
  • Other duties as assigned to assist Residential Life and the college at large.

Required Qualifications:

  • Comfort working in a residential setting during pandemic and post-pandemic periods.
  • A valid state driver’s license and comfort driving college passenger vehicles as needed.
  • Experience working within residential communities.
  • Knowledge of and ability to implement and model proper use of, PPE during interactions with students in isolation and quarantine.
  • Computer and database literacy.
  • Ability to competently learn and effectively utilize software technology.
  • Keen understanding of issues related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Strong organizational skills, relationship building skills, and communication skills.
  • Associate Degree.

Requirements for Employment:
