The Center for Health and Artificial Intelligence has an opening for a full-time University Staff (unclassified) Events and Social Media Coordinator position.

The Center for Health Al fosters a thriving community of researchers at the University of Colorado School of Medicine who are inventing and deploying advanced analytics and data or knowledge integration approaches. The goal of building this community is to make the Anschutz Medical Campus a leader in translating data into advances in research practice, health care delivery, and population health and in scaling these to provide nationwide benefit through innovative technologies. Jobs in this career family provide general business operations of the organization or a combination of operational responsibilities covering multiple career families.  Functions include institutional research, statistical analysis, policy development and review, strategic planning and broad unit business operations such as parking and transportation services, risk management, childcare services, real estate and property management, retail services or job responsibilities that combine fiscal, HR and operational management responsibilities.

Professionals at the intermediate level are responsible for exercising discretion, analytical skill, personal accountability and responsibility in a wide range of areas including academic, administrative, managerial and student services functions. Work involves creating, integrating, applying and sharing knowledge directly related to a professional field. 

At the intermediate level, duties may be more limited in scope and are performed with guidance and direction from other professionals.

Position Responsibilities:

The Events Coordinator will be responsible for event planning and execution across the Center for Health Artificial Intelligence. The successful candidate will be both innovative and pragmatic, interested in improving processes and contributing to inspiring and diverse events, while managing timelines, resources, and relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and other crucial operational duties. Events may include seminar series, talks, evening events, recruitments, promotions, orientations, retirements, luncheons, workshops, symposiums, retreats, holiday parties and faculty meetings. These duties will include, but are not limited to: 

    Manage pre-event coordination for on- and off-campus in-person, hybrid and virtual events, such as: venue arrangements/space booking, agenda development, catering, transportation, hotels, audio/visual needs, health protocols, vendor contracts, guest/attendee invites and tracking, security/building access, parking/transportation, assuring ADA Access, etc. Establish and maintain positive relationships and partnerships with invited guests, faculty, staff, students, and other constituents. Manage event-related budgets, purchasing and travel. Review contracts as necessary and reconcile appropriate expenses. Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures by partnering with applicable campus offices to obtain appropriate approvals and submit required documentation. Provide exceptional on-site execution and support for events, including but not limited to: serving as point of contact, registration oversight (if required), liaising with vendors, basic IT technical support, and general troubleshooting. Serve as approver of the University conference room scheduling for center / departmental conference room requests and communication of scheduling for room requests in the EMS system.Facilitate with other departmental personnel to ensure proper reimbursement and payment procedures for faculty and invited guests. Disseminate department correspondence and manage internal events calendar. Serve as updating social media content for the center / department Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:

    A bachelor’s degree in business, communication design, business administration, public relation, marketing or a directly related field from an accredited institution1 year of experience in event planning, event management, or project management.
    Experience in event-related budgets, purchasing and travelProven work experience in social media marketingDemonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge
Required: Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

    Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook.Experience in University event policies and procedures. Previous experience working in an academic medical environment.Experience with University systems, including Concur, Marketplace, Sitefinity, etc.Experience with Doodle polls and Zoom. Experience with Mac OS preferred. Experience with project management tools, such as Smartsheet, Basecamp, MS Teams, etc.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $44,526 - $60,000

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.
