Job Summary/Responsibilities:The Student Assistant plays a vital role at the Florida Institute of Education. He/she will assist in carrying out support functions in an efficient and effective manner. Must be dependable. Responsibilities include greeting visitors, answering phones, copying, performing web searches, completing on- and off-campus errands, and other general duties as assigned.
Other responsibilities:
Collate, bind, and 3-hole punch documents and materials;
Mail pick-up and drop-off;
Typing forms, labels, envelopes;
Organize the copy/storage room and handle supply deliveries;
Color, cut out, and laminate materials;
Pack and unpack boxes, bins, and bags;
Assist during collection and organizing of assessment materials;
Shred sensitive documents;
Create labels for binders;
Input survey information;
Alphabetize files and documents;
Inventory of materials;
Enter simple data;
Other general duties as assigned.
Applicant must be enrolled as a student at UNF with reliable transportation, have computer skills, including Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, and Excel experience, experience working in an office setting, ability to work without supervision, and ability to work up to 20 hours per week. Be able to lift up to 50lbs.
