Teaching Laboratory Coordinator
Butler University
The Department of Biological Sciences at Butler University invites applications for a staff position as a TEACHING LABORATORY COORDINATOR beginning as soon as possible. The successful candidate for this full-time, renewable, 10-month position will be responsible for preparing laboratories for a multi-section introductory biology sequence with a strong cell and molecular component. Other responsibilities will include managing supplies and equipment for teaching laboratories, maintaining physical and chemical inventories, and supervising student employees. Teaching duties will include one course in non-major Human Anatomy and Physiology per year. Applicants should have at minimum a master’s degree in biology or closely related field, teaching experience, strong organizational and communication skills, background in chemistry and molecular/cell biology, and a firm commitment to active learning, inquiry-based teaching strategies.
