- Ability to maintain confidentiality Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office, PeopleSoft Financials and HRMIS, Banner, Crystal, Xtender, SPSS and other computer software/databasesDetail-oriented with strong organizational, prioritization, problem solving and multi-tasking skillsProficient/knowledge of admission proceduresProficient/knowledge of account management and reconciliationAbility to professionally interact with university administration, faculty and students as well as outside organizations, applying discretion in all communication actions and actions to ensure professionalism at all times, including difficult and stressful situations
- Provide administrative support for the chair of Social Sciences and the director of the department’s Master of Arts in Intelligence and Security Studies (MAISS).Serve as administrator for the department’s budget.Monitor and reconcile all budget accounts in the department.Coordinate travel arrangements and reimbursements for chair and department’s faculty.Assist the Department of Social Sciences with daily task support, unit organization, managing and distributing information from within the office. Prepare and submit all necessary documentation.Field incoming calls, sending meeting invites, and greeting guests.Work with other office personnel to maintain office supply inventories and ensure office areas are organized appropriately.Other duties as assigned.
