It is the mission of the Department of Pediatrics, Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University, to provide exemplary medical education/training of physicians in pediatric medicine at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Additionally, it is the mission of the department to provide model comprehensive primary and consultative subspecialty care to children of eastern North Carolina, to advance scientific knowledge through basic and clinical research, and to provide continuing medical education opportunities for physicians in the region. Job Duties :
The Department of Pediatrics at the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC is seeking a Sleep Medicine physician to treat a variety of conditions in children to include sleep apnea, narcolepsy, insomnia, behavioral sleep problems and circadian rhythm abnormalities to meet the current demand of sleep consultations and overnight studies. Responsibilities will also include teaching residents, medical students, and other learners.Minimum Education/Experience :
The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University is affiliated with Vidant Medical Center. Vidant Medical Center is the flagship hospital for Vidant Health and serves as the teaching hospital for the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.
Fixed term or tenure track position available at the title/rank of Assistant Professor or higher.
Must have a terminal (MD or DO) degree from an appropriately accredited institution. License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation :
Must have a current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in North Carolina.Special Instructions to Applicant :
Must be board certified/board eligible by the American Academy of Pediatrics. Must also be board certified/board eligible in Sleep Medicine.
