Coordinator of Health Professions Admissions

Job Description:

As a part of a diverse community of faculty and staff who represent many faith systems and worldviews, Marian University seeks a Coordinator of Health Professions Admission. This position will promote Marian University’s Catholic Franciscan mission and identity by supporting the operations of the graduate health professions admission process. The coordinator is responsible for data entry and processing of all applications associated with the graduate health professional programs. Responsibilities include retrieving and uploading of application materials (i.e. transcripts, letters, international documents, etc.), distributing admission decision letters, importing records into the ERP, and maintaining records for document retention. This position relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Responsibilities:

  • Actively engages the Catholic Franciscan mission and identity of Marian University by modeling the Franciscan Sponsorship Values, honoring the legacy of the founding congregation, promoting unity in diversity, and integrating the Catholic Franciscan Intellectual traditions in courses, programs, and services.
  • Works collaboratively with all Marian University administrative offices to provide essential support to applicants, directors, and community partners in order to meet enrollment goals.
  • Provides accurate, confidential, and consistent high quality data entry for new applications and other required admission documents.
  • Maintains enrollment documentation, retrieves paper, scanned or electronic information, processes high school and college transcripts, and distributes admission letters within the Recruit system.
  • Evaluates all college transcripts for official status, proper accreditation, and coursework completed at other institutions.
  • Reviews error reports within the ERP, determines corrective action, and implements changes needed to finalize the import process.
  • Adheres to admission and record policies, such as admission requirements by program, readmission rules, document retention requirements, and applies them in a variety of procedural situations.
  • Works with the Enrollment Operations team and the directors to maintain data entry consistency throughout all admission offices. Maintains flexibility with procedural changes.
  • Provides timely and accurate assistance to the community partners on required admissions documents and processes. Addresses concerns and prioritizes them.
  • Adheres to the admission deadlines established for each of the health professional degree programs.
  • Manages internal email accounts for health profession admissions, which includes transcript submissions and student/community partner correspondence.
  • Provide excellent customer service to all constituents consistent with institutional mission and values.
  • Receives and routes all incoming mail.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

  • Baccalaureate degree in business, liberal arts, or a related field.

  • At least three to five years of higher education or related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
