The University of North Alabama is accepting applications for the position of Director of Fraternity & Sorority Life.  This position is responsible for supporting the Fraternity and Sorority Life (FSL) community, including the Panhellenic, Interfraternity, National Pan-Hellenic, and Independent Greek organizations, as well as each of the governing councils.  Responsibilities include planning, implementation, and evaluation of programs for the FSL community, including the development and implementation of educational programs and the FSL new member course. This position oversees and provides support for twenty-four fraternity and sorority letter social organizations (approximately 900 students), Gamma Sigma Alpha Honor Society, Rho Lambda Honor Society, and the Order of Omega Honor Society. Additional responsibilities include collaboration with other departments/offices/programs related to student engagement, providing assistance and oversight as requested for assignments within the division, travel to student and professional conferences, developing FSL educational programming, and coordinating certain risk management and event safety protocols. This position works in conjunction with other departments to assist with health and safety checks, sorority housing assignments, sorority/fraternity housing lease agreements, and training of house managers. This position will supervise a full-time coordinator, two graduate assistants, and one undergraduate student intern. This position maintains regular office hours on campus that may or may not match standard business hours as flexible scheduling is necessary for this position to provide supervision of certain FSL activities, attend meetings, and travel on nights and weekends. 

Minimum requirements include: Master's degree in Higher Education Administration, Student Personnel Services, Counseling, or a related field is required; Four years of related experience working in a Fraternity/Sorority Life advising capacity at a college or university or four years of related experience on a regional or national level with a Greek organization is required; and membership in an inter/national Greek organization is preferred.

Organization

Established in 1830 as LaGrange College, the University of North Alabama has a rich history including the distinction of being the first state-supported teachers college in the South. The school's 130-acre campus is located in the historic district of Florence, Alabama, on the Tennessee River. Students come from around the country and world, but UNA is largely a regional university with about 70% of students coming from Alabama.
