The Engagement and Communications Facilitator plays a key role in the U.S. Department of Education (USDE) funded, five-year Title V grant to increase the completion, persistence, and transfer rates of students, particularly Hispanic students and FTIC students. The Title V (HSI) Engagement and Communications Facilitator is responsible for implementation, training, and management of all software used in the Academic, Career, & Transfer Advising Center. This position is responsible for ensuring students have virtual access to all tools and resources offered in the Center and for creating virtual orientations and presentations. The position of Engagement and Communications Facilitator requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in education, technology, digital media, communications, information technology, marketing, psychology or equivalent. This position requires strong organizational, oral, and written communication skills. This position requires strong computer skills with a proficiency in Microsoft Office, experience creating virtual presentations/videos, experience creating marketing pieces, and experience working with database information. The person in this position must be detail oriented and creative. This position requires the ability to deal extensively and effectively with a wide variety of individuals requiring excellent interpersonal skills, listening skills, and communication skills in order to assist students in achieving their academic goals. The person in this position must be able to provide continuous courteous customer service to students, parents, the community, staff, and administration. Occasional evening and weekend work hours will be included in the position. A criminal background check is also required.
