Position Summary:

This position leads the College's new student outreach efforts for credit and non-credit students and provides leadership for a one stop enrollment services center in support of the student life cycle from inquiry to completion. The Director takes the lead role in the implementation of the college's enrollment management plan. This promotes cross-functional teamwork in support of retention and educational achievement, and establishes additional progressive strategies for advancing continuous quality improvement efforts in an environment that promotes and values diversity and recognizes the various needs and services required for a diverse student body.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The following are the functions essential to performing this job:

  1. Lead the integration of services within the Enrollment Services Center to include Recruitment and Admissions, Registration, Financial Aid and Career and Academic Planning Services offices in order to create a first-rate one stop enrollment experience for the student.
  2. Supervise the Enrollment Services Center staff and ensure optimal service delivery through performance management and professional development.
  3. Work collaboratively with the Executive Director of Marketing and Communications in the development of promotion plans and materials to target specific enrollment markets to increase enrollment and overall interest in college academic programs, designed to attract and enroll new students to the college.
  4. Develop and have oversight of the College’s Strategic Enrollment Plan inclusive of analyzing data to formulate enrollment initiatives, forecasting, and assess outcomes of enrollment services and goals for continuous improvement.
  5. Analyze enrollment trends and institutional and market data to recommend adjustments to enrollment planning.
  6. Provide leadership and develop appropriate recommendations for the implementation of related technology applications in support of enhanced services offered through admissions, recruitment and outreach, and registration.
  7. Ensure the coordination of a comprehensive recruitment plan to establish contact with prospective students and use data to track and evaluate the progress of students from outreach through the enrollment process.
  8. Provide leadership in the development of necessary programs and services designed to ensure student access, ease of entry and successful transition into the college, and develops strategies to increase the enrollment and retention of students of color and underrepresented populations.
  9. Collaborate with Director of Student Success and Retention in support of outreach efforts to current students regarding registration each term.
  10. Establish collaborative relationships with college constituents (Campus leaders, Deans, Chairs, faculty, IT, Auxiliary Services) to help achieve the mission, vision, and strategic enrollment goals of the College.
  11. Review and recommend creation and revisions to policies and procedures applicable to enrollment services.
  12. Provide regular enrollment reports.
  13. Other duties as assigned by either the Associate Vice President of Admissions and Enrollment Services or Vice President of Student Affairs.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Master’s Degree
  2. Five (5) years of work experience in higher education, including experience supervising staff in admissions and recruitment and enrollment services.
  3. Experience utilizing marketing strategies in enrollment management
  4. Enrollment management planning and implementation experience with demonstrated understanding of processes, technology and planning required to meet enrollment goals

Desired Qualifications:

  1. Doctorate degree or AACRAO Strategic Enrollment Management endorsement
  2. Strong knowledge and experience in student enrollment related technology such as online admissions systems, and client relationship management systems, and experience with student information systems
  3. Experience working in a collective bargaining environment
