About Bunker Hill Community College:
Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) is a multi-campus institution with vibrant, urban campuses in Boston, Massachusetts, in nearby Chelsea, Massachusetts, and at several satellites and instructional sites throughout the Greater Boston area. The largest of the 15 community colleges in Massachusetts, BHCC serves some 18,000 students annually, focusing on holistic student services to ensure student retention and persistence. The College offers certificates and associate degrees, early college and dual enrollment, non-credit community and corporate training, and industry-specific training programs. BHCC is the 8th most diverse higher education institution in the United States, and is an Asian American and Pacific Islander Serving Institution. BHCC is seeking an instructor to teach EPU-104 AC Circuit Theory with Lab for Spring 2022.
This course provides in-depth coverage of alternating current electrical theory. Topics covered include inductance, transformers, capacitance, reactance, impedance, and resonance. The j-operator is employed. Course meets 3 hrs. lecture/3 hrs. lab. Prerequisite: DC Circuit Theory/Lab (EPU-101).
Tuesday 8:30-11:15 AM (Lecture)
Thursday 8:30-11:00 AM (Lab)
Class is scheduled at the Charlestown Campus with the first two weeks of instruction to be delivered remotely due to increased numbers COVID-19 cases in our surrounding communities.
- Master's Degree in related field (Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, etc.)
- Commitment to advancing equity and access in the classroom.
- College teaching experience, especially at community college level, preferred.
- Proven ability to work with a diverse faculty, staff and student population.
Salary: $1,132.00 per credit hour
