The College of Allied Health Sciences (CAHS) at Augusta University (AU) in Augusta, GA invites applications for an immediate opening of a full-time faculty position in the content area of Human Anatomy. Academic appointments are available at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor, with available educator tenure track or non-tenure track appointments, determined by the candidate’s qualifications and training. We are seeking a creative, innovative educator who will contribute uniquely to the educational team at the CAHS, providing instruction to the professional programs in allied health sciences (Doctor of Physical Therapy, masters programs in Occupational Therapy, Physician Assistant, and Medical Illustration). The successful candidate will work closely with the CAHS department chairs and curriculum teams to deliver excellence in classroom instruction and cadaveric laboratory dissection, partnering to share cadaver lab resources with the Medical College of Georgia (MCG). Opportunities exist for a candidate to also participate in research and/or clinical practice.

Minimum Requirements

Candidates must have an earned doctorate in the area of Human Anatomy or a related area from an institution recognized as being regionally accredited by the U.S. Department of Education. Experience providing instruction to students of professional programs in allied health is desired.

Conditions of Employment

All candidates are required to successfully pass a Background Check review. For specific positions, the final candidate may be subject to a (pre-employment) physical, drug screen, and/or credit check.

The final candidate will be required to provide proof of completed academic degree(s) as well as post-secondary coursework in the form of original transcript(s). Those candidates trained by a foreign institution will also be required to provide an educational/credential evaluation.
