Description
The School of Public Health's Dean's Office is seeking a HR/Onboarding Coodinator, Senior to be responsible for but not limited to the following duties:

Coordinate/manage the hiring process, payroll, and HR functions for staff, student assistants and temporary staff. Initiates MSS transactions for student assistants and temps. Approve/monitor Time and Labor and Leave Management for exempt/non-exempt staff, temps and student assistants & approve Leave Management for faculty.  Resolve problems related to payroll. Assist the Human Resources Officer (HRO) with managing the daily HR functions of the School, which includes classification, compliance, staff recruitment/retention/training and personnel matters. Also assist the HRO with initiating and submitting Position Review Forms for state and sponsor-funded positions.  Serve as back-up to the HRO to initiate, review and approve MSS transactions for staff and faculty. Research and advise departments if there is a payroll or hire discrepancy. Advise faculty, staff and supervisors of any HR updates received.

Manage the hiring process, orientation, payroll and HR functions for SPH’s graduate assistants.  Serve as backup to the HRO in the hiring process of part-time instructors. Serve as backup to the HRO for entering part-time instructor pay information in PPGRA.  Collaborate with the Office of Academic Assistance and other departments regarding tuition waivers. Monitor information and verifies records. Assist the HRO on matters related to faculty hiring.  Attend necessary HR meetings and trainings.

Manage the onboarding process of faculty and staff new hires. Send informational welcome emails to new faculty, staff and part-time instructors.  Create and submit Approval of Pools for faculty applicants.  Coordinate interviews for faculty and staff candidates as well as job talks for faculty candidates in conjunction with attendance from faculty, staff, and students. Arrange lunch for faculty job talks & dinner for faculty candidates with search committee.  Arrange travel and hotel lodging for out-of-state faculty candidates. Submit travel authorization forms and receipts to SPH finance team.

Serve as back-up to Administrative Specialist for managing Public Health Jobs email account and maintaining spreadsheets demographic information on all faculty applicants. Manage SPHHR email account.

Post job descriptions on various websites for faculty positions. Review job postings to make sure that all have correct log numbers. Remove job postings when positions have been filled. Update positions that have not been filled within projected timeframe.

Assist the CAO with preparing reports related to HR/Personnel matters including but not limited to recruitment goals and outcomes, compliance matters, current data, and reports for use in annual reports, accreditation purposes, and other uses. Create tally and summary spreadsheets of faculty evaluations and other duties as assigned.



Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and four years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
