Working as a member of the Access Services team, the Reserves & Document Delivery Supervisor is independently responsible for document delivery and circulation services to Law faculty and management of the Law Library's reserve collections.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Manage faculty requests for library materials in print or electronic formats
  • Collect textbook information each semester, create reading lists for all Law School courses, and ensure that the library owns and makes available all required readings.
  • Provide circulation services to library users.
  • Supervise and train student employees.
  • Open the library Sundays-Thursdays, and ensure that library's circulation/reserve desk is staffed.
  • Provide information and direct library users in the use and services of the law library.
  • Responsible for the maintenance and updating of the law reserve collections.
  • Assist in filing and shelving of library materials especially in the library's reserve locations.
  • Assist in the overall management of library operations, participating in the oversight of library spaces, equipment, collections, and services.
  • Special projects.

Required Skills

A cover letter is required for consideration.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated customer service skills.
  • Bachelor's Degree and 1-3 years of experience in a library or similar environment.
  • Experience with using library catalogs and ability to use basic business software (e.g. Microsoft Office)
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skill
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to utilize critical thinking to resolve problems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge or experience of research process
  • Experience using an ILS, especially ExLibris Alma
  • Supervisory experience
