IT Analyst - Municipal Technical Advisory Service
Regular, Full-time, Market Range 11

Work Location: Jackson, Memphis, or Martin, TN

This is an information technology analyst position, deploying, managing, and supporting all IT user related devices and systems for MTAS. This will include computer security, hardware and software acquisition, and PC installation and usage. This position will help lead and direct all hardware related projects including device research, implementations, upgrades, and surplus of older products. This position serves as an expert and leader for user facing IT devices and hardware. This position will also help coordinate computer user training for MTAS users to increase their ability to utilize their technology. Also, the position serves as part of the IPS information technology team and other special projects as assigned by the MTAS leadership team. 

Duties and Responsibilities:
•    Provide, deploys, monitors, and manages the deployment of users computers, mobile and other IT related devices. 

•    Maintain familiarity with all data sharing tools and help recommend appropriate tools.
•    Provide director for Agency’s cloud computing strategy. 
•    Manage user access to PCs, devices, applications, directories, and other University IT resources. 
•    Aid in purchasing, deploying, maintaining, updating, and managing software products for end users’ devices.
 



Qualifications
Required Qualifications: 

Education:   
Requires a Bachelor’s degree  

Experience:      
Requires at least five years of experience in the areas of hardware/software support, troubleshooting, and computer networking 

Skills:   
Requires a knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10, Microsoft Serves, Microsoft Azure, Azure Active Directory, On Premises AD, AS Users and Computers, AD Group Policy, Office 365, Google G-Suite, IT industry best practices and computer networking. We also require a knowledge of managed desktop environment and tools used for managing IT devices. We require effective communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.

TBD MTAS office - Work location is flexible, depending on the selected candidate.

This position must be able to travel and be available to deploy for immediate travel to perform job duties. If a private vehicle is used for business related purposes, automobile liability insurance must be maintained.
