The Department of Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering (CCEE) at North Carolina State University (NCSU) expects to fill a position in the area of Structural Engineering and Mechanics. We seek candidates in the area of innovative structural systems and materials with strong domain expertise who have a demonstrated interest in working with colleagues within other areas of civil engineering (and/or across other disciplines) to be responsive to emerging research questions aimed at the betterment of civil infrastructure. Other Responsibilities:
Successful candidates should be able to participate in multidisciplinary initiatives to support the missions of the department and the college. While we expect to hire at the assistant professor level, outstanding applicants at all ranks are encouraged to apply.
Candidates should possess excellent teaching skills and an ability to attract external funding for and conduct research programs supportive of the Department’s thrust areas.Minimum Education and Experience:
An earned doctorate degree in civil engineering or a closely related field is required prior to start date.Other Required Qualifications:
We seek candidates who are able to develop and maintain a nationally recognized and externally funded research program within their area of expertise, teach graduate and undergraduate courses, and collaborate across disciplines.Preferred Qualifications:
