Description:

The applicant will work on NIH funded research projects. The postdoctoral Fellow will study the mechanisms underlying colonic tumorigenesis mediated by DGATs dependent  Lipid Droplets dynamic, especially promoted by obesity.

Follows experimental design in a careful and timely manner.

Maintain an accurate and up to date written record of all experiments and protocols. Ensures that experiments and protocols records are maintained.

  • Translate research data in publication quality figures and tables. Scientific work is assembled for presentation and publication.
  • Assist in the care and management of laboratory equipment and facilities and other duties delegated by the Principle Investigator. Ensure laboratory instrumentation is utilized and maintained appropriately and work is done as requested by the Principle Investigator.
  • Perform other duties as requested or required, whether or not specifically mentioned in this job description such as participation in writing papers and proposals.Ensures that all Department of Athletics and University related activities operate in full compliance with university, conference and NCAA rules and regulations. Attends and participates in scheduled compliance seminars and complies with all the Athletic Department’s efforts to monitor compliance with NCAA regulations.  Seeks interpretations from the compliance staff before acting when necessary.  Reports potential rules violations immediately.  Completes required compliance paperwork in a timely and efficient manner.  Monitors all of their areas and/or programs activities closely to maintain compliance with applicable rules and regulations. 

 


Qualifications:

Ph.D. with experience in Biology of inflammation, metabolic reprograming, and cancer. The applicant must be an expert in molecular biology experiments utilizing in vitro approaches, mouse models, and basic bioinformatics.

Execute biomedical research as assigned by the laboratory Principle investigator.
