General SummaryIn anticipation of possible openings throughout the academic year and summer sessions, the Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Program maintains a pool of qualified persons interested in non-tenure track teaching positions. Applications are accepted continuously for part-time, non-tenure track positions and reviewed as vacancies become available. There may not be an actual vacancy at the time you apply.
Additional InformationA strong and viable Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Program is essential to the university's on-going mission of providing a quality undergraduate and graduate education. The Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Program minor, graduate certificate, and queer studies concentration programs prepare students to think, act, and write critically about contemporary issues from a variety of interdisciplinary, intersectional, and multicultural lenses. WGSS students are encouraged to take leadership roles in their communities using these new insights and skills.
Required Qualifications1. Doctorate (or equivalent terminal degree in the candidate's field) is strongly preferred at the time of hire, but ABDs will be considered.
2. Candidate should have at least one year of teaching experience.
3. For teaching positions, state law mandates demonstrable oral proficiency in the English language as a requirement for this position.
