Job Description The University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Dentistry is seeking applications and nominations for the position of Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs. UMKC School of Dentistry’s clinical program includes instruction for pre-doctoral, dental hygiene, and advanced education students working collaboratively in a comprehensive patient care environment. The Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs position comprises administrative and faculty duties. The position is a senior administration leader who reports to the Dean, and is accountable to maximize the efforts of faculty, students, and staff in providing quality patient care in an optimum learning environment. Administrative responsibilities include general oversight and supervision of the SOD clinical operations and compliance with all regulations and accreditation standards. Demonstrable commitment to data driven analytics and documentation of student performance and progress is required. Candidates should understand and support the university’s vision, mission, and values. Candidates will have teaching and service commitments and will provide clinical instruction and oversight for pre-doctoral dental students. Clinical oversight of instruction and evaluation of students in diagnosis, treatment planning, restorative dentistry, removable, fixed, and implant prosthodontics, endodontics, and non-surgical periodontics are required. The faculty member is expected to provide didactic and preclinical lab instruction, as assigned, in addition to the administrative responsibilities.Minimum QualificationsA DDS/DMD and Missouri Dental License or eligibility is required.
Preferred QualificationsPrevious leadership experience is preferred.
Full Time/Part TimeFull-time, benefit-eligible, ranked, non-tenure track academic position at the rank of Assistant Clinical Professor, Associate Clinical Professor, or Clinical Professor. Salary and rank will be commensurate with experience.
