The UGA College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (CAES) is among the best and most established U.S. colleges of agriculture. Position Summary:

This position within the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (CAES) performs a wide variety of reporting related tasks. Primary duties center on designing queries using relational database management software, performing data analysis, and developing comprehensive reports to satisfy CAES needs.

As a critical member of the Reporting and Accountability team within CAES Business Services, this position creates tools to provide historical, current, and predictive views of business operations and compliance. Through use of data analytics, data visualization and data modeling techniques and technologies, the analyst provides administrators and stakeholders with programming data, financial data, personnel data, and other data to allow them to make pivotal decisions about hiring, budgets, and regulatory compliance. The analyst builds reports and business intelligence for use by departments, project investigators, and other business users to allow them access to crucial financial and personnel information.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies:

Solid working knowledge of accounting and budgetary practices; a thorough working knowledge of Excel; and ability to communicate effectively and accurately in e-mails, phone conversations, and in person meetings. Attention to detail is vital. Knowledge of University practices and procedures. Ability to maintain effective working relationships and think logically.
