Alumni Career Fellow
The Office of Career Services is seeking an Alumni Career Fellow (Student Success Advisor).

Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Present quarterly presentations with career services staff on career readiness topics (resumes, networking, job searching, interviewing, salary negotiation, etc.)
  • Hold bi-weekly virtual drop-in hours to meet with students based on either area of expertise or affiliation with department
  • Organize and lead one session for the Winter Intersession Career Development Academy
  • Participate and/or plan industry talks or special topic career panels with alumni
  • Lead virtual networking sessions twice a year
  • Send relevant information to students via email listserv
  • Participate in quarterly in Career Services/Professional Development Working Group meetings


Minimum Qualifications (Mandatory):
  • Master's Degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education, Counseling or related fields including Social Science is required
  • Three years of relevant advising experience required
  • Demonstrated success working with underrepresented racial minorities (African-American, Hispanic, Pacific Islander, Native-American), first- generation students, and students from low-income families required

The pre-employment physical for positions in clinical areas, laboratories, working with research subjects, or involving community contact requires documentation of immune status against Rubella (German measles), Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Varicella (chickenpox), Hepatitis B and documentation of having received the Tdap (Tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis) vaccination. This may include documentation of having two (2) MMR vaccines; two (2) Varicella vaccines; or antibody status to these diseases from laboratory testing. Blood tests for immunities to these diseases are ordinarily included in the pre-employment physical exam except for those employees who provide results of blood tests or immunization documentation from their own health care providers. Any vaccinations required for these diseases will be given at no cost in our Occupational Health office.
