Monroe Community College seeks an experienced senior level administrator to serve as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President for Administrative Services. The successful candidate will have a strong financial and administrative background and demonstrated ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic and complex community college that values integrity, excellence, empowerment, inclusiveness, collaboration and stewardship.  The new CFO/VPAS will be committed to advancing the success of MCC’s diverse student population and the Rochester community and demonstrate the skills, knowledge and ability to lead the financial and administrative areas of the college into the future.

Monroe Community College (MCC) is entering its sixth decade as a premier two-year college within the State University of New York (SUNY) system. Ranked among the top 3% of U.S. community colleges for most associate degrees awarded, innovation has always been at the heart of MCC and the constant driver in the College’s evolution to meet the ever-changing needs of its students and the Rochester community. The College has developed new and exciting degree programs, created unique educational and workforce initiatives and built contemporary urban and suburban campus facilities to meet the needs of the community. Today, MCC offers more than 100 outstanding degree programs taught by award-winning faculty members at an affordable price.

In addition to preparing graduates to continue their education at four-year colleges and universities we identify, teach and train quality employees in key career areas, which helps local businesses stay competitive and keeps our economy going strong. Each year, the MCC-educated workforce adds approximately $510 million in income to Monroe County.

The Chief Financial Officer and Vice President for Administrative Services reports directly to the President and is responsible for maintaining the College's fiscal health and ensuring efficient administrative functioning and supports the College’s overall mission, strategic plan, and goals. The CFO/VPAS demonstrates an ability to create consensus, build productive teams, and lead action around key College strategic interests. The major functional departments under the overall direction of the CFO/VPAS include Finance/Budget, Risk Management, Accounting & Cash Management, Technology Services, Facilities, and Public Safety.
