Position Information: Description

The Research Institute for Autonomous Systems (RIAS) at the University of North Dakota (UND) seeks a Post Doctoral Research Fellow to support system design and development with a focus on Augmented Reality. 

Duties & Responsibilities
    The successful candidate will execute research tasks, including completion of literature reviews; collection, processing, and analyzing data; collecting field data; and simulating systems.The successful candidate will produce reports and presentations and present them as required.The successful candidate will mentor students, as required.The successful candidate will support RIAS outreach, including participation in outreach events, as required
Required Competencies
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, and students.
Minimum Requirements
  • Ph.D. in engineering or a closely related field such as Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science
  • This position requires U.S. Citizenship due to federal government contract(s)
  • Successful completion of a criminal history background check

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with unmanned/autonomous systems
  • Experience with human machine teaming
  • Experience with machine learning.
  • Experience with visualization and augmented reality.
Minimum Hiring Salary/Position Classification

Commensurate with experience, Exempt, Full-Time, 12-month, Benefited

Work Schedule/Start Date

Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
