Job Description
The SIUE School of Business is seeking to fill a tenure-eligible Assistant Professor faculty position in information systems. Candidates will be expected to teach in one or more of the following areas: Cybersecurity and/or Data Analytics. The Department of CMIS provides instruction within the School of Business in the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (with 2 specializations (majors) in CIS and Cybersecurity - a third specialization (major) in Data Analytics has been proposed), Master of Science in CMIS (MS CMIS), Master of Science in Healthcare Informatics, and the Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs. The curriculum includes a full range of computing courses and is supported by state-of-the-art computer software and hardware technology.

Candidates for this position should embrace the Teacher-Scholar model and will be expected to be student-centered, demonstrate a commitment to promoting experiential learning, and embrace on line and blended education models. SIUE is committed to the creation and dissemination of knowledge and as such, candidates must be prepared to pursue externally sponsored research and creative activities, engage in interdisciplinary collaboration, and to guide students in scholarly activities when possible. Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must hold an earned doctorate in Information Systems or a highly quantitative science-related field. Preference will be given to candidates with at least 8 years of professional industry experience in the information systems field. Preference may be given to applicants working with advanced data analytics technologies including artificial intelligence and/or machine learning either in academia or professional industry. Preference may be given to candidates with experience creating and implementing curriculum in cybersecurity. Candidates must be qualified to teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels and possess a research record or potential commensurate with position rank. A commitment to top-quality research, teaching, and service is required.
