The Director of Dual Programs is responsible for providing leadership for the development, coordination, implementation and management of the high school Dual Credit program (both on and off campus) throughout the community college district service delivery area. This position works closely with counselors at partner high schools to build dual credit enrollment and create pathways to enrollment as full-time Triton College students following high school graduation.


1. Build relationships with district and surrounding high schools in order to increase enrollment by assessing the needs of high school students and school districts, coordinating with academic departments to provide courses and programs that respond to those needs, and coordinating admission and registration support to enroll students.

2. Serve as the primary college contact person for all dual credit questions and issues.

3. Develop and implement short- and long-range operational plans and related policies/procedures. Ensure compliance with ICCB dual credit rules and regulations.

4. Visit area high schools to meet with counselors, students, faculty and parents about Triton College dual credit programs.

5. Facilitate the development of marketing and other support materials to attract and inform students of dual credit opportunities on campus and at local high schools.

6. Organize and conduct meetings, prepare and present training/information for internal college groups as well as high school representatives. Coordinate all efforts and activities associated with high schools concerning dual credit activities.

7. Collaborate with high school counselors and dual credit faculty to verify faculty teaching qualifications and the accuracy of all dual credit, student attendance and grades.

8. Develop and maintain budgets.

9. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure registration activities are completed in a timely manner and appropriate documents are collected, submitted, and approved accordingly.

10. Assist/manage the registration related activities/services for students enrolled in dual credit programs.

11. Coordinate orientation initiatives for those students enrolled in dual credit programs.

12. Cultivate, manage, and maintain dual credit course listings and web pages.

Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.


A minimum of 3-5 years' developing programmatic partnership relationships; demonstrated ability dealing tactfully and sensitively with students, faculty, staff; ability to work independently with attention to details and deadlines; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications.


Working knowledge of both public and private high schools, college operations, policies and procedures including admission policies, instructional programs and courses. Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills and a commitment to the role of Dual Credit within the mission of a community
