Teach college-level courses in radiologic technology including, but not limited to, clinical internship management, patient care, introduction to radiologic technology, radiographic position, and special procedures to a diverse student population.
As Clinical Coordinator, act as the liaison between the college and hospital affiliates in promoting student success during clinical training. The Clinical Coordinator will visit and work with the students while training to assess student progress.
Maintain communication with Program Director and affiliated hospital personnel.
Maintain and assess all student electronic records pertaining to clinical training such as time logs, exam log, and all evaluations.
Maintain surveillance of each education center regarding its validity as a part of the training consortium (i.e., number of students and rotational scheduling).
Participate in Outcome Assessments by obtaining raw data from student evaluations and competencies.
Maintain student academic electronic files.
Participate in the program accreditation process.
Manage the Radiology Club and radiologic technology program pinning ceremony.
Participate in curriculum development and serve on department, division, college and district committees as necessary to maintain and improve the instructional program; participate in appropriate professional development activities. Participate in co-curricular activities, including planning, implementing, and teaching in special programs designed to support student success. Participate in the formulation of Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs) and the Student Learning Outcomes assessment cycle. Maintain formal office and campus hours; participate in department and division meetings.
Maintain current knowledge of instructional methods and new technologies pertinent to areas of assignment; learn and apply emerging technologies and advances (e.g., computer software applications) as necessary to perform duties in an efficient, organized and timely manner. Teach scheduled classes and perform related duties as assigned, including timely compliance with clerical and administrative responsibilities; comply with district, college and division policies in the performance of duties. Instruct and assist in the growth and success of a diverse population of students through careful preparation of course materials, effective teaching methodologies and informed critical feedback on assignments and discussions. Develop culturally relevant course content, culturally responsive pedagogical techniques, and effective practices for engaging students who are diverse and/or are students who are historically underserved. The ideal candidate should have experience in this area with African American, Latinx, Native Americans, Pacific Islanders and other disproportionately impacted students. Work cooperatively with staff and students. Evening and/or weekend assignments may be required as part of the regular contract.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Bachelor’s degree in any academic discipline
Possess a valid California teaching credential authorizing service in a community college in the appropriate subject matter area; AND ALL OF THE FOLLOWING:
Two (2) years of clinical experience in the professional discipline. Experience in curriculum development, supervision, instruction, evaluation, and academic advising.
One (1) year of experience as an instructor in a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiology Technology (JRCERT) accredited program. Possess a valid and current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist in Radiography (ARRT)® credential.
Possess a valid and current unlimited Certified Radiologic Technologist permit (CRT) from the California Department of Public Health.
Possess a valid and current Fluoroscopic Radiologic Technologist permit (FRT) from the California Department of Public Health.

Master’s degree in any academic discipline.
Experience as a clinical coordinator in a JRCERT accredited radiography program.
Minimum of one (1) year experience as an instructor in a JRCERT accredited radiography program.
Possess a valid and current American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) credential with experience.
Experience using technology in radiography education.
Knowledge of current innovative teaching methods that encourage student engagement and learning.
Experience working in a team-teaching environment.
Demonstrated leadership experience and/or participation in community or professional organizations.
Commitment to examine, reflect, and modify instructional, relational, and classroom practices in order to effectively engage and support disproportionately impacted student populations with the goal of closing equity gaps.
$67,769 - $102,601 Annually

Initial salary placement will be determined by the Office of Human Resources in accordance with the faculty collective bargaining agreement and is not negotiable.
