Under supervision the incumbent performs journey-level procedures as they relate to electroencephalographic studies. The EEG Technologist is competent in performing the following studies: routine EEG; sleep deprived EEG; portable EEG: bedside prolonged EEG: ambulatory EEG: long-term monitoring hookups/baseline recordings. Communicates with the technical director in regards to daily operations. Incumbent assists with program development as needed. Performs other related tasks as required.
The EEG Technologist must be ABRET EEG Board certified OR have completed a NDT program and is eligible for the ABRET EEG Board Exam (must take within one (1) year and pass within two (2) year of employment).
Minimum of two (2) years of experience performing the following EEG-related studies: routine EEG; sleep deprived EEG, bedside prolonged EEG: ambulatory EEG: long-term monitoring hookups/baseline recordings.
BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date
Must maintain CEU's for EEG Board Certification.
