Job Description:

UF ISE offers BS, ME, MS and Ph.D. degrees. We have approximately 500 undergraduate students and 200 graduate students. The Department hosts research in various application areas including energy systems, healthcare systems, supply chain systems and transportation systems. We also currently host methodological research in data analytics, human systems engineering, optimization, simulation, and stochastic analysis. There are also outstanding opportunities for interdisciplinary work across the UF campus. More information about the department can be found at http://www.ise.ufl.edu.

The Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering is currently implementing a major expansion of faculty and state-of-the-art research and education facilities. Minimum Requirements:

In addition to having a doctorate degree in ISE or a closely related discipline, the applicant must possess an academic record and potential for research and teaching excellence in the manufacturing field. Potential candidates will be expected to provide a clear agenda for future research directions including funding opportunities and collaborations both within the department and externally. Candidates will be expected to have awareness of future trends in funding and research opportunities in advanced manufacturing and target application areas such as AI for manufacturing management, AI for advanced manufacturing, manufacturing using collaborative robots, regenerative medicine, and bio-manufacturing. Candidates will be expected to develop a high-quality publication record at UF, supervise Ph.D. students, and teach manufacturing courses at both the undergraduate and graduate level.
