The Department of Pediatrics, Section of Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine has an opening for a full-time Assistant Professor. 

Nature of Work:

This position is a 1.0FTE and will support pulmonary clinical operations at a 1.0cFTE which includes outpatient clinic, inpatient, consult, and outpatient service support with a focus on general pulmonary care, and will work primarily at the Anschutz and South campus locations.

Examples of Work Performed:

    Conduct outpatient clinics (asthma and general pulmonary) at main and South campus. This could include NOC and/or regional locations as determined by the sectionAttend inpatient, NICU/OPA, general pulmonary consult servicePerform bronchoscopies, laryngoscopies, reading PFTs, etc.Participate in teaching and scholarly activities for the section, Department of Pediatrics and School of Medicine as needed
Salary and Benefits:

The salary range (or hiring range) has been established at $165,000 to $170,400

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:

• MD/DO
• Board certified or board eligible in Pediatrics
• Must be licensed or able to obtain licensure in the State of Colorado prior to start date

Required: Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire

Conditions of Employment:

  • Must successfully pass a drug test through Children’s Hospital Colorado
  • Must be willing and able to pass a national criminal background check
Preferred Qualifications:

• Board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Pulmonology
• Prescriptive Authority
• Experience and proficiency with electronic medical health record systems

Competencies:

• Knowledge appropriate for individuals completing a three-year Pediatric Pulmonary Fellowship
• Ability to complete pediatric pulmonary diagnostics and therapeutic procedures
• Pediatric clinical assessment skills
• Strong commitment to teaching and mentoring responsibilities
• Strong interpersonal communication skills including both written and verbal
• Exceptional time-management skills (to include managing email and other electronic forms of communication
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary group
