Position Summary

The Precision Health Program in the Department of Radiology at Michigan State University is accepting applications for an Assistant to Full Professor position (tenure system); rank will be determined by qualifications. PHP is a newly established university-wide vigorous program consisting of five laboratories conducting independent research in the areas of cancer, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases and nanobiotechnologies (https://precisionhealth.msu.edu/). The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and innovative scientist with a Ph.D. in biomedical sciences, 8-10 years of research experience and a track record of excellence in the area of cancer nanotechnology. Familiarity with application of nanoparticle carriers for therapy and in vivo imaging is a plus. The candidate is expected to establish their lab with a sustainable research program, participate in collaborative research, make significant scholarly contributions to their discipline, obtain extramural funding and engage in institutional and professional service and education.

Required Degree

Doctorate -Biomedical Sciences

Minimum Requirements

PhD in biomedical sciences with 8-10 years of research experience in biomedical sciences, experience in nanoparticle formulation, testing and in vitro and in vivo applications

Desired Qualifications

Hands-on experience with nanomaterial formulations, analytical assays, testing and imaging
