Job Summary This position directs the human resource functions of Georgia Southwestern State University.

Responsibilities
    Directs a variety of human resource functions. (45%)Directs employee recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and exiting processes.Directs job classification and compensation activities.Manages employee benefits.Manages employee training.Directs employee conflict resolution activities.Directs performance management functions.Processes unemployment and workers’ compensation claims.Directs ACA compliance.Ensures compliance with all state and federal employment laws.Directs the retention of confidential employee records.
Coordinates compliance with a variety of federal, state, and system requirements. (45%)Serves as Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Officer; develops and administers annual AA plan; responds to EEOC complaints; implements auditing, reporting, training of search committees; mediates disputes.Serves as Title IX Coordinator; processes complaints; trains employees and students; ensures the appropriate staffing of investigators; responds to OCR complaints.Serves as Open Records Coordinator; responds to records requests in compliance with state law.Serves as Dual Appointment Coordinator in order to coordinate the dual appointment processes with the Board of Regents.Performs a variety of related duties. (10%)Required Qualifications
    Bachelor’s degree in a course of study related to the occupational field required..More than four years of related experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a course of study related to the occupational field is preferred.
  • PHR/SPHR and/or SHRM-CP certification is preferred.
