UW Medical Center - Northwest has an outstanding opportunity for a FULL-TIME EVENINGS, MONDAYS- FRIDAYS, OPERATING ROOM ASSISTANT, in the PACU department. The OR Assistant is responsible for assisting with room turnover, housekeeping duties in the assigned area of the OR, transportation of patients, and transport of specimens.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists in cleaning and preparing surgical suite
Assists in establishing par levels for ancillary supplies
Transports, and assists with repositioning and/or transfer of patients
Ensures safety of the patient in the environment (bed positioning and rails)
Delivers specimens and transports blood products

REQUIREMENTS
High school graduate or GED equivalent

DESIRED
Prefer certification as a C.N.A in the State of Washington
Prefer intraoperative experience as an aide or orderly, or hospital
housekeeping experience
