Chief, Institutional Effectiveness

Summary

The Air University (AU) invites applications from qualified individuals for the position of Chief of Institutional Effectiveness. The incumbent will manage statistical analyses, survey design and administration, institutional and specialized accreditation, and best practices of outcome assessment to lead institutional effectiveness. In addition, manage the Human Research Protection Program activities as outlined in directives, regulations, and instructions.

Responsibilities

Monitor and Perform Compliance Evaluation and Analysis. Works collaboratively across the University to ensure that assessment methods accurately measure identified goals across educational and administrative operations and promote a culture of evidence-based continuous improvement. Executes compliance with joint and institutional accreditation, self-study and serves as a subject matter expert and advisor to AU and the respective school/centers on evaluation, assessment, and continuous process improvement approach. Conducts statistical analyses, survey design and administration, and best practices of outcome assessment to monitor institutional effectiveness and continuous improvement.

Administers Survey Assessments and Innovation Analytics. Assist faculty and staff in research design for survey projects and implement all phases of the survey process. Responsible for administering, developing, and maintaining surveys, conducting appropriate analysis, monitoring results, and reporting on results. The creation, data gathering, and analysis of all institutional surveys and overseeing the administration of all institutional surveys, guide others on survey design and execution, support survey data collection, and survey building and software.

Human Research Protection Program and Research Activities. Develop, refine, and implement policies and procedures to promote compliance with the Department of Air Force (DAF) and AFRL regulations governing the protection of human research subjects and managing non-compliance. Support the management of the Human Research Protection Program by directing and ensuring the University's compliance and ethical principles related to research protocols and fostering an environment of administrative support and service to the research community. Work collaboratively with other essential components of the Human Research Protection Program to ensure continued accreditation.
