The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at DigiPen Institute of Technology invites applicants for the position of Adjunct Lecturer/Assistant Professor to teach a range of Social Sciences courses across various degree programs (communication and/or psychology and/or general social sciences/media studies). Join our faculty team and help students develop the necessary skills to succeed in their chosen fields.

Job purpose

Essential Functions / Goals

  • Teach undergraduate Social Sciences courses in one or more areas: may include communication, sociology (media/ethics), psychology, and/or other disciplines.
  • Grade, critique, and input assignment data
  • Assist in the development of student projects as necessary

Qualifications / Competencies

  • Master’s Degree or higher in Communication, Sociology, Psychology, or related field
  • Solid grounding in interdisciplinary teaching
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • College level teaching experience
  • Comfortable with technology
  • Ability to accommodate a wide variety of learning styles, special needs, etc.
