Job Details

The Department of Management and Marketing at the University of North Alabama invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track open rank faculty position beginning in Fall 2022.    Primary teaching responsibilities will be in Business Strategy/Strategic Management.  The review of candidates will focus on teaching effectiveness/potential and research productivity/potential. Salaries are competitive with similar AACSB-accredited institutions. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled. Sponsorship opportunities outside of OPT (OPT is non-tenure-track only) will not be available.

Responsibilities include teaching in-class and online undergraduate and graduate management courses; experience using Canvas, Blackboard, or comparable online learning platform is preferred; the successful candidate will be willing to work with students from diverse backgrounds in the classroom and in experiential learning opportunities; in addition to meeting teaching expectations, candidates are expected to demonstrate research necessary for the college to meet current standards for AACSB International accreditation; service to the university, college, and/or department is also expected.

Minimum qualifications include possession of a doctorate or be completing a dissertation in Management or a related field from an accredited institution is required; and industry and/or teaching experience related to business strategy and/or strategic management is preferred.

Established in 1830 as LaGrange College, the University of North Alabama has a rich history including the distinction of being the first state-supported teachers college in the South. The school's 130-acre campus is located in the historic district of Florence, Alabama, on the Tennessee River.
