Responsibilities Experience in basic molecular and/or cellular biology techniques. Duties also include support of on going research projects, help develop and evaluate new research techniques and procedures, maintain a detailed and organized notebook with procedures and data; help maintain moues lines, and make orders for the lab. The duties include, but are not limited to:

Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, cell biology or other natural, life, health care or materials science directly related to the research area to which the position is assigned and a minimum of three years' experience in a research, basic science or clinical setting particularly clinical trials research.Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Ability to maintain confidentialityAttention to detail and good laboratory practicesWillingness and ability to work with research animals
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Ability to read directions for experiments with understanding of the results
Proficient with Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases or willingness to learnShift/Salary/Benefits Shift: Days/M-F Pay Grade: R9 Salary: $13.01/Hourly Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position Recruitment Period: Until FilledConditions of Employment All candidates are required to successfully pass a Background Check review prior to starting with Augusta University.

- Perform a variety of examinations of specimens for the presence of diseases and pathological conditions; prepare culture media; incubate and culture bacteria; stain slides; perform molecular biology techniques; electrophoresis
- Calibrate and operate laboratory equipment such as spectrophotometer, microscope, coulter counter, centrifuge, hematic stainer, etc. Make lab orders
- Work with experimental animals
- Assist PI and lab staff in project experiments and data analysis
- Perform all other related duties/tasks as assigned
