JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:  This position will facilitate administrative, educational and research functions to improve processes, outcomes, and provide analyses using a range of computer applications and database systems for the GSM as well as specific offices within the GSM. Collect, analyze, and summarize data in report form regarding such issues as: scholarly activities, workforce needs, number, size, and variance of programs compared to similar sites, problems, trends, quality improvement, research initiatives, and others as needed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Assist the Assistant Dean for Graduate Medical Education and Designated Institutional Official (DIO) in the collection, monitoring, and reporting of institutional quality improvement and performance improvement data in graduate medical and dental education.Analyze and interpret data, identify areas of concern, and recognize when there is a problem.Create models, spreadsheets, graphics, reports, and presentations.Design and recommend new methods for collection and documentation of data.Write queries for databases and use software to extract, gather, import & export data.Support the Dean's Office, the Graduate Medical Education Office, the GSM departments, and residency and fellowship programs with faculty scholarly activity data collection, analyses, and reports.Assist the Assistant Dean for Graduate Medical Education and Designated Institutional Official (DIO) with the oversight of medical residency and fellowship programs using the Residency Management Software (MedHub) to facilitate continuous compliance with the accreditation authority (ACGME) requirements.Performs other duties as necessary.


Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:   

EDUCATION:  Bachelor’s Degree and two (2) years’ experience OR Master’s Degree in Business Analytics, Information Science or related field. Two years’ experience using SQL and working with databases.  Competent level knowledge and skills in Microsoft Power Point and Microsoft Excel.  (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED)
