Job Details

The Department of Economics at the American University of Beirut invites applications for one tenure-track-assistant professor faculty position effective August 15, 2022. The position is open to all fields of study in Economics. Primary considerations will be an outstanding research record, excellent recommendations, and a demonstrated ability in teaching.
The appointments are for an initial period of three years with opportunities for promotion and advancement. The teaching load is 4 courses a year. The language of instruction is English. Duties include teaching, research, and service. Applicants must have completed their PhD by August 2022.

AUB currently offers more than 120 programs leading to the bachelor's, master's, MD, and PhD degrees. The University became coeducational in 1922; its student body is 50 percent male and 50 percent female. The language of instruction is English (except for courses in the Arabic Department and other language courses). The student faculty ratio is 13 to 1.
