UW Medical Center - Northwest has an outstanding opportunity for a part time (90% FTE, 36 hours per week), rotating shift REGISTERED NURSE to join our Medical Surgical Extended Unit (MSE). We are a 21 bed medical-surgical unit, designed specifically for recovering low-acuity surgical patients with behavioral health needs. This is a great opportunity for a Registered Nurse with long term care, skilled nursing, or behavioral health experience.

    SCHEDULE
    3x12 shift schedule. This position will work day and night shifts on a rotating basis.

    RESPONSIBILITIES
    As an RN, you will:
  • Work alongside doctors, social workers, care managers and therapists
  • Restore patients’ health by following evidence-based nursing practices
  • Identify care needs
  • Manage complex health issues
  • Monitor and administer medications
  • Provide personalized care with compassion, dignity, and respect

    REQUIREMENTS
  • BLS

  • An active Registered Nurse license in the State of Washington

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 2 years of medical-surgical, skilled facility, psychiatric, or long term care nursing experience
  • BSN
