The Department of Pediatrics, Section of Developmental Biology has an opening for a full-time Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. 

Nature of Work:

The Department of Pediatrics, Section of Developmental Biology at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus invites applications for tenure track faculty positions (Assistant/Associate/Full) in the areas of stem cell biology, development, and regeneration. Areas of particular research interest include but are not limited to 1) gene regulatory networks and systems biology, 2) iPSC and organoid models of development, developmental disorders, and regeneration, 3) maternal health and development 4) animal models of stem cell biology and organogenesis, and 5) tissue reprogramming and remodeling. Current research emphases in the section are cell fate specification, tissue and organ morphogenesis, cardiovascular lineage formation, neuro-glial biology, and organoid models of development and disease. We seek a new colleague with a visionary research program that synergizes with existing section research and brings new ideas and research directions. We provide state-of-the-art facilities within our section and on the CU Anschutz Medical Campus and a vibrant, highly supportive, collaborative and interactive community. Please see our

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range (or hiring range) has been established at:

Assistant Professor: $ 104,000-$118,000

Associate Professor: $128,000-$145,000

Professor: $156,000-$188,000

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:

    Assistant Professor: PhD (or equivalent) degree and 0-4 years of related faculty-level or equivalent experience

    Associate Professor: PhD (or equivalent) degree and 4-7 years of related faculty-level or equivalent experience

    Full Professor: PhD (or equivalent) degree and 7+ years of related faculty-level experience

Required: Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire

Conditions of Employment:

  • Must successfully pass a drug test through Children’s Hospital Colorado

  • Must be willing and able to pass a national criminal background check

Preferred Qualifications:

    Assistant Professor: have a strong record of research accomplishment as evidenced by scholarly publications in one or more areas of developmental, stem cell, or regenerative biology. Accomplishments during both graduate and postdoctoral training will be considered.

    Associate Professor: have a strong record of research accomplishment as evidenced by scholarly publications in one or more areas of developmental, stem cell, or regenerative biology.

    Full Professor: have a strong record of research accomplishment as evidenced by scholarly publications in one or more areas of developmental, stem cell, or regenerative biology. Should demonstrate progressively greater levels of scientific advancement, leadership, and national and international visibility in their field.
