The Eric Friedheim Tourism Institute, located in the Department of Tourism, Hospitality and Event Management, College of Health and Human Performance, at the University of Florida seeks a candidate for a postdoctoral position focused on machine learning, data analytics, and impact analyses. The primary responsibility of this position will be processing of large-scale hospitality and tourism business datasets with an emphasis on compiling marketing strategies and price optimizations.
GAINESVILLE, FLORIDA: The University of Florida is located in Gainesville, a city of approximately 250,000 residents in North-Central Florida www.cityofgainesville.org. Minimum Requirements:The candidate should have a Ph.D. in statistics, hospitality, business, information technology or related field. Preferred Qualifications:
The ideal applicant will have experience using advanced statistical software for data analyses, strong working knowledge of, signal/eye tracking processing, significant programming expertise, and great in both writing and communication skills. Experience with statistical analysis packages (i.e., SPSS or R) is also extremely desirable. Experience in meeting project deadlines and working in a team environment will be important.
