The Program Coordinator for OSUN Integration Initiatives will be responsible for helping to coordinate the logistical and administrative aspects of several projects designed to deepen and strengthen connections among the 40+ colleges and universities that comprise the Open Society University Network (OSUN).
These projects include initiatives to promote student leadership, student government, peer-to-peer tutoring, and other co-curricular student programs, as well as curricular initiatives focused on first-year programs and micro-credential and certificate programs. The position is designed to allow some flexibility of focus in order to align the work with candidates’ primary interests.
The Program Coordinator will help develop and manage events, programs, and activities, as well as create and monitor processes and procedures to track spending. The position will also be responsible for organizing the logistics and management of travel and meetings, as well as coordinating and participating in network-wide working groups.
This is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Associate Vice President for OSUN-Bard Network Programs and Academic Affairs. Responsibilities
Coordinate and design projects associated with integration programs including events, programming and conferences. Develop and implement administrative processes to facilitate coordination among OSUN partner institutions Work closely with international teams of coordinators to implement and launch programs.Assist with general office coordination including management of correspondence and calendars. Develop a highly organized team management system to inform relevant staff of project progress and approaching due dates. Initiate, track and follow-up on a range of concurrent administrative and financial activities. Organize and document activities related to integration initiatives. Help track impacts, assessments and materials for grant reporting. Draft reports on program activities in coordination with OSUN leadership. Draft and/or review of sub-awards and activity agreements in accordance with grant guidelines and with partner institution staff. Review and reconcile project financial reports and prepare payment requests in compliance with donor regulations, Bard policies, and partner institution policies.Schedule and coordinate program meetings and events; draft and distribute meeting minutes. Make travel arrangements for program staff and faculty.Develop an annual work plan for the completion of cyclical administrative tasks and projects. Help with the scheduling, coordination, and preparation of agendas for meetings and conferences on campus and in the network. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills Excellent problem-solving, decision-making and time management abilities Demonstrated success working with diverse students, faculty and staff International experience strongly preferred A self-starter with a positive attitude who finds that no task is too small and that all tasks are important to the overall operations of the office Proficiency with Google Drives, Google Docs, and Google Sheets, and the ability to learn new technology quickly and efficiently. Detail oriented, highly organized with excellent follow through Physical Demands
