Applications are being accepted for a full-time Associate Dean of Manufacturing at Moraine Park Technical College, West Bend Campus. Although the primary location is the West Bend Campus, this position will also have duties at the Fond du Lac and Beaver Dam Campuses. This position is responsible for the oversight of teaching and learning in the Manufacturing program areas. The Associate Dean of Manufacturing provides supervision, guidance and support to 19 faculty and two support professional staff. This position reports to the Dean of Applied Technology and Trades.

Responsibilities
1. Assist the Academic Dean with and manage academic initiatives, diversity and inclusion initiatives, planning, budgets, special projects, and grants; attend to student and employee issues in support of retention and success.2. Recruit, orient, mentor and provide for the ongoing development and evaluation of contract and adjunct faculty and support professionals, and subsequent individual development plans in accordance with College culture, workplace values, and Faculty Quality Assurance System (FQAS) procedures.3. Provide oversight of program courses to ensure the quality of curriculum, course design and delivery, adequate supplies and equipment, and enforcement of safety processes and procedures. Responds to student and employee concerns and issues, develop and implement solutions, and make recommendations to the Academic Dean when appropriate.4. Schedule courses and manage enrollments using an effective and efficient approach that supports student progression and needs. Manage faculty workload assignments in a collaborative manner.5. Provide input to the Academic Dean in the development and implementation of new course, certificate, diploma, and degree program offerings and modifications to existing courses and programs. Completes, in collaboration with the Curriculum department, required documentation for System Office approval of new or revised courses and programs.6. Manage program curriculum, in collaboration with faculty and the Curriculum department, to ensure it is relevant, current, consistent, meets WTCS standards and is developed using input from advisory committees and other employer stakeholders. Ensure program curriculum is maintained according to College expectations and follows Curriculum Review and Program Quality Review processes.
7. Manage program advisory committee formation and membership, and ensure meeting schedules, agendas, and minutes follow the College policy and procedures.
8. Ensure the effective and efficient use of resources (e.g. financial, human, physical) for the instructional programs, and seek alternative external resources in collaboration with the Academic Dean. Utilize data to make informed decisions associated with the management of assigned programs and course offerings in order to maximize student retention and success. 9. Ensure that industry safety and program requirements are current and procedures are followed for all students and staff.
Qualifications1. Master’s Degree, preferably in an academic discipline of oversight, Educational Administration or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and occupational experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities have been acquired.2. Two years of occupational experience outside the field of education; experience related to a program area of oversight is preferred. 3. Two years of teaching experience, preferably in post-secondary education. If two years of teaching experience is not met, a combination of teaching and other related experience such as project management, training development, program coordination, and/or curriculum writing and oversight may be considered.4. Demonstrated leadership experience, preferably in a post-secondary institution, that is aligned with the requirements of the Associate dean position. Examples include experience managing a program or department, managing a budget, leading multi-departmental projects, supervising employees, or combinations of these and other related experiences.5. Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum and assessment, preferably in a post-secondary setting.6. Experience with grant writing, grant management and grant reporting is preferred.7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to interact with all levels of internal and external customers.8. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-based, innovative and continuous quality improvement focused environment; experience leading cross-functional teams.9. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations by promoting and maintaining an inclusive work environment and culture that is respectful and accepting of diversity.10. Demonstrated organizational skills and project management experience with the ability to multitask.11. Demonstrated ability to use software applications, including Microsoft Office applications, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as Banner, email, Learning Management Systems (LMS), data management systems such as Power BI and Tableau, and instructional delivery technology to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of teaching and learning.
