Full time Postdoctoral Research Associate position is available in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Colorado Denver (UCD) Anschutz Medical Campus. The position will involve translational research aimed at understanding immunological mechanisms of response and resistance in the tumor microenvironment. Knowledge of flow cytometry and other immunological techniques is a must. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, and able to work independently. Qualified candidates should have a recent Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Immunology, Cancer Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or related field. Self-motivation, commitment to scientific research, ability to learn new techniques, and excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. Applicant should be proficient with computers. Experience with flow cytometry, cell culture, western blotting, immunohistochemistry, PCR and animal models, including handling, colony management and genotyping strongly preferred. Position will include conducting research experiments, data management, molecular biology assays, writing grants and papers, and other duties as assigned.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $53,760 to $65,292; it is dependent on years of experience after receiving your PhD.

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Ph.D. or equivalent in immunology, cancer biology, molecular biology or related filed.
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Good computer skills
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with immunology and biological modeling
  • Experience with bioinformatics
  • Experience handling rodents/using animal models
