Position Summary

The Departments of Management and Marketing at Michigan State University are seeking to add a new tenure-track faculty member (open rank) beginning in August 2022 in the area of entrepreneurship. The ideal candidate should be terminally qualified in a relevant area of scholarship and have primary research and teaching expertise in entrepreneurship and interests aligned with management and/or marketing.

Depending on the candidate’s interests, the departmental affiliation will be with either Management or Marketing, or jointly with both. Applicants should be able to demonstrate that they are engaged in activities that have led or will lead toward national scholarly prominence through a pending and/or current record of publication in top-tier management or marketing journals, as well as entrepreneurship journals. The individual filling this position is expected to maintain an ongoing research program contributing to national scholarly prominence. Teaching responsibilities will consist primarily of undergraduate and graduate courses in the area of entrepreneurship and innovation and, relatedly, courses in management and/or marketing. Applicants should be able to demonstrate ability as a classroom instructor through summarized peer and/or student evaluations and/or explicit commentary in letters of recommendation. Responsibilities for this position also include service supporting the University’s entrepreneurship and innovation activities. Salary is competitive and commensurate with rank.

We seek new scholar-teachers who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of our current faculty with expertise in strategic management, organizational behavior, and human resource management.

Minimum Requirements
