Responsibilities

This position is responsible for the administration and management of multiple externally funded research projects and the day-to-day operations in the College of Criminology and Criminal Justice's Center for Criminology and Public Policy Research, supporting the Dean, Center Director, and Center staff.

Administrative management of sponsored research projects include budgeting, personnel and HR, payroll, purchasing, travel, bookkeeping, and reconciliation of
sponsored research projects, etc. Manages pre- and post-award activities. Coordinates with College staff. Assist with developing budgets for research project proposals. Tracks and reconcile budgets for funded research projects. Project monitoring and reporting. Maintains database that includes information about the status of funded research projects including due dates for progress reports, final reports, etc. Translational Research. Collaborate with College staff on Center-marketing related activities. Plan and coordinate marketing and IT needs including press releases, news bulletins, and keeping the website up-to-date. This includes collaborating with Center and College staff to host annual Center events/summits.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and one year experience or a combination of a high school diploma or equivalent and five years of experience (Note: or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to five years. )

Ability to meet project deadlines, maintain organized records, to prioritize and perform accurately in a detail-oriented environment.

Skilled in practices of project planning, development, and evaluation, accounting, budgeting, and cost-control procedures.

Knowledge of federal, state, and private funding sources, and ability to interpret and apply related policies, laws, rules, and regulations.
