Job Summary:
The Admissions Counselor assists in the development, implementation and ongoing refinement of the student intake process.

Quick Glance of Duties and Responsibilities:
    Works to convert prospective students to enrolled status and help them navigate the admissions process by providing information, answering questions and assisting with forms, referring to specialists when needed. Provides campus tours and conducts information sessions to individuals and groups.Provides assistance with student self-service by distributing tutorial materials and offering technical help. Engages with prospective students with information via face to face, phone, email, and U.S mail by assisting with the Admissions Communications plan.Maintains knowledge of all College programs and resources; maintains academic records and information in the ERP system.At all times, engages in and promote teamwork, courtesy, legal compliance, policy compliance, and safety in the WSU Tech workplace.Projects an image of professionalism, including in conduct, communication, and dress.
Education, Experience, Knowledge & Skills Needed:
    Associate Degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.Experience in college admissions and/or advising, or sales experience, preferred.Self-starter who is motivated to assist the college accomplish goals of recruiting and informing prospective students of their options with the college. Excellent written, verbal communication & customer service skills.User-level knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel are required.Ability to multi-task and prioritize with strong organization skills. An operating knowledge of Student Services software, such as Banner, is required within three months of entering the position.

Pay Rate: $17 /hr
Schedule: M-Th 9a-6p, F 8a-5p; City Center & South Campus
