Position Summary::

The Culverhouse School of Accountancy invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track faculty position at the rank of instructor, beginning August 16, 2022. Preference will be given to candidates who have the ability to teach high-level financial accounting classes, including classes at the Masters level, and who have experience with SEC reporting.

The Culverhouse School of Accountancy invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track faculty position at the rank of instructor beginning August 16, 2022. Minimum qualifications: Candidates should have CPA Certification and a Master’s degree in accounting or a closely-related field and a minimum of five years of accounting-related work experience. Preference will be given to candidates who have the ability to teach high-level financial accounting classes, including classes at the Masters level, and who have experience with SEC reporting. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate accounting classes and/or other courses as assigned per semester. Responsibilities also include service to the School of Accountancy, College of Business, and University as needed to further advance the program and its curriculum. Candidates with either an academic or professional business and/or accounting background are welcome to apply. Practitioner applicants should be active in their field, have professional experience, and regularly attend professional conferences. This is a non-tenure earning position renewable for three-year periods at the discretion of the University with no expectation of continued employment beyond any three-year contract period.
