Data Analyst, Center for Information and Communication Studies

Regular, Full -time - Exempt - Market Range 11 - Grant-funded

We are looking for a highly motivated data analyst to provide full-time support to the Y-12 National Security Complex Mission Baseline and Indirect Programs through a University of Tennessee subcontract with Consolidated Nuclear Security, LLC.

The Data Analyst will work to build an effective modeling system to track and forecast the organization's expenditures for employees, programs, and revenue systems. Data Analyst will also support the development of program integration with other operational systems to enhance the management and tracking of multiple streams of accounting.

Responsibilities will focus on process improvement projects. Duties will include:

  • Performing complex data analysis utilizing advanced modeling methods.
  • Large data collection and monitoring trends.
  • Consulting with clients to understand needs and develops tools to collect data
  • Designing and developing tools, methodologies, and applications for data collection and reporting.
  • Interpreting results across data sets and provide recommendations to subject matter experts.
  • Organizing results and conclusions for presentation to multiple audiences, including senior directors and senior program managers.
  • Conducting data control audits.
  • Assisting program managers with fiscal year budget planning, tracking, and baseline change requests.

Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:

    Bachelor’s required: business or data science or related field

    Master’s preferred: MBA or Information Sciences or data science or related field

    Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible to receive a Security Clearance.The successful candidate should have at least one year of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of training, education, and experience in the field of data analytics.Experience in collecting and analyzing data
